After installing and configuring PMDF, you can proceed to configure PMDF-MR. As noted previously, the PMDF installation procedure also installs PMDF-MR. PMDF itself is configured using the PMDF configuration utility. If you have not already configured PMDF, then do so now. Refer to the OpenVMS edition of the PMDF Installation Guide for instructions.

PMDF-MR should be configured using the PMDF-MR configuration utility, PMDF CONFIGURE MR. Refer to the PMDF-MR chapters in the OpenVMS edition of the PMDF Installation Guide for instructions on using this utility as well as an example configuration session. The utility, will, when it is finished, produce a checklist of final steps you must manually perform in order to complete your configuration. The following subsections document these additional steps.
