X.400 messages can be directed to the PMDF-MB400 gateway from local users as well as remote mail systems. Messages can include any combination of X.400 and non-X.400 recipients.

Addressing and other usage conventions for the PMDF-MB400 gateway are the same as the PMDF-X400 product. Section 41.2 and Section 41.4.4 are directly applicable to PMDF-MB400. Please refer to those sections for X.400 originator and recipient address conventions, gateway domain name, and other essential concepts.
